Meet the Boston Area Decadent Dog Team

Founded in 2002, Decadent Dog is considered an international leader in the pet care services sector. A foundation in sales and service has enabled Decadent Dog to build an enormously loyal client base and retain a superbly professional staff with an average length of service approaching 7 years. Our staff selection process is arduously selective because anyone can walk a dog, but only a select few can do it our way. We’re grateful to have the honor to be trusted with multiple generations of pets for families around the Boston area. Decadent Dog is Fully Licensed Bonded and Insured, and are proud to have earned Pet Sitters International’s Pet Sitter of the Year™ award.

He was named 2008 International Pet Sitter of the Year™ by Pet Sitters International and is a nationally known lecturer and regular columnist for Pet Sitters World magazine. During his sales career, he traveled nationally and cultivated several high profile deals with companies like Walt Disney, Target, Barnes & Noble and Amazon. His creative and out-of-the-box strategies enabled Rob to surpass company goals and excel in his career.

Rob decided to walk away from his successful corporate sales career to pursue his dream of working with animals and founded Decadent Dog in 2002. Rob has a simple belief in the value of client service experience: Make the customer want to do business with you.

Rachel McCann, Top Dog

Rachel McCann is a lifelong resident of Boston with a diverse background. Since she was old enough to walk Rachel was hard at work in her family’s cranberry bogs weeding, planting, harvesting and running the “Pick Your Own Blueberries” stand. Following a six year corporate career managing payroll, accounts payable and other critical operations for a national Elder Care company, Rachel brought her business operations expertise to Decadent Dog in February 2005 and quickly became the company’s top walker and sitter. Dogs, cats and humans alike agree that Auntie Rachel is their favorite! Perhaps Rachel’s favorite thing about being a professional pet care provider is being able to do so alongside Floyd Pepper, her 3 year old Bernedoodle.
